A vacancy has arisen for a Software Developer to complement the existing busy development team. You will be responsible for designing, constructing and maintaining web based management interfaces to support the company’s range of telecoms products and services as well as integrating current and new developments with our Salesforce platform.
The role includes system design, software problem solving, data querying and incident management.
The successful candidate will have commercial programming experience, including object-oriented programming, knowledge of PHP, Java, C++ or another object based language, relational databases and XML. Knowledge of Salesforce development using Apex and Visualforce would be an advantage as would experience in building RESTful APIs. Equally important, you will know how to prioritise, estimate and allocate project time and work to deadlines.
Working in the Entanet Network Operations Centre (NOC), this head office based role will be responsible for all non-technical managerial responsibilities such as workflow, process management, project management, departmental documentation and health and safety.
A key requirement of the role is to work with the team and other departments to improve processes and monitor and improve KPIs and SLAs with the business. The successful candidate will need to deploy departmental resources and conduct reviews of performance to ensure 24/7/365 achievement of NOC targets.
In addition, working with the CTO, you will need to deliver a programme of activity to ensure that all necessary technical knowledge and skills development is provided to support the Entanet infrastructure and new product development.
You will also need to ensure that all departmental engineering activities are undertaken in line with good health and safety practices, conducting risk assessments as appropriate.
You must have at least 2 years successful technical team management experience as well as good project management skills. You will also need to develop and maintain a broad knowledge of Entanet’s product capabilities.
It is desirable that the candidate has knowledge of the Communications industry.
